    Some parts impressed, others didn't

The staff was friendly and very helpful! And the lunch selection on the menu was fresh with good portion sizes.

The room was small and charming, but it could have used more space and amenities.

It was a lovely place for celebrating anniversary. All the staff was amicable. The hotel was in a great location just off Canterbury and Faversham, the pub, rooms and menu, and Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. It also was to the Dover ferry port. I greatly enjoyed 1 night there.

    friendly staff
    crispy fries
    noise disturbance
    slow breakfast service
    age of hotel

Room No. 6, while charming, faced significant noise issues due to its proximity to the entrance, echoing conversations and phone calls that disrupted peace. Breakfast service was notably slow, likely because staff were overwhelmed, but they remained courteous and attentive. The thin, crispy fries served in the bar were a good highlight that stood out .

The place was lovely and rooms here were excellent quality. The location was marvellous to the Dover ferry port and the staff here was amazingly attentive and very helpful. Further, it was right by Canterbury and Faversham and Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and the pub, rooms and menu. I appreciated 2 nights in this property.

    charming atmosphere
    excessive noise
    poor breakfast options

Beautifully decorated hotel with a charming atmosphere.

I was disappointed with the noise levels in my room. The age of the hotel did not justify the level of disturbance. A lot of conversations and phone ringing echoed throughout the night. Breakfast was a disaster due to lack of staff and very limited choices, no cereal or fruit available at all!

    noise issues
    disappointing breakfast

I really had high hopes for this hotel, but my room had troubling noise issues from the street and the reception. It would've been nice if i received a courtesy upgrade or at least a smile from the staff for all my troubles. How does a hotel run out of cereal during breakfast? Absoluteley baffling!

A warm welcome from the staff set the tone for a charming stay. My room was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, with an comfortable bed. Dinner on-site offered generous portions and was quite a treat. Noise from the main street was noticeable at times.

    beautifully decorated room
    noticeable noise

The location was convenient, being just a short drive from the ferry port. The room was beautifully decorated and clean. The dining options were diverse and the meals were generously portioned, particularly the breakfast that we enjoyed.

We encountered some noticeable noise levels at times, which could be distracting.

The Honesty Pantry offered a fun twist to snacking, making it all too easy to indulge in good treats.

My room, No. 6, was particularly noisy due to its proximity to the entrance, difficult to find peace.

Charming stay with great little touches

Super clean and cozy, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The Honesty Pantry was a fun twist-snacking was too easy! Only thing was, the shower had a bit of a weak flow, kinda annoying. The restaurant served really tasty meals too!
